Kids are special. That’s why we have a hospital just for them. Memorial Hospital for Children, in partnership with The Children's Hospital, is the only children's hospital in southern Colorado. We provide special care for thousands of children - premature newborns to teenagers - every year.

And, in our universe, every child is a star.

Warning! Window falls happen in both houses and apartment buildings to children of almost every age. Some falls occur because people don’t realize that window screens don't prevent falls. Falling from a window can cause untreatable brain damage, lifelong paralysis and even death.

Window safety tips:

• Don't rely on window screens to prevent falls
• Use window guards or stops on all windows
• Lock windows when closed
• Open windows only from the top
• Keep furniture and toys away from windows
• Teach your kids about window safety
• Don't leave your child unattended near windows

In December of 2007, we opened the doors to our new home for Memorial Hospital for Children, in partnership with the Children's Hospital. The Memorial Hospital Central expansion includes modern technology and amenities in a comfortable healing environment just for children.
